The Glasgow branch of Liberal Youth Scotland covers the groups at the main universities and colleges in the Glasgow and surrounding areas. The University groups in Glasgow all work together, running campaigns on important issues, socialising and supporting Katy Gordon PPC and Jo Swinson MP.

Glasgow University Liberal Democrats

Glasgow University Liberal Democrats is the oldest, largest and most active political society at the University of Glasgow. Now over 180 years old, GULD is moving from strength to strength.

In the past year we’ve been very busy campaigning for Katy Gordon, PPC for Glasgow North in the 2010 election. We’ve had tea with Charles Kennedy, a Q&A with Ros Scott, President of the Liberal Democrats, and spent a lot of time in Jim’s Bar!

The President for 2010/11 is Sophie Bridger. You can meet Sophie and other Glasgow University Liberal Democrats on the GULD Facebook Group.
